GETTING TO VALENTIA ISLAND
Valentia Island is located in the beautiful county of Kerry in the southwest of Ireland. Valentia Island can be reached from the mainland via the bridge in Portmagee and in the summer months via the ferry from Reenard Point to Knightstown. But first things first ....

From Dublin there is a flight connection to Kerry Airport, approx. 82 kilometers from Valentia Island. Cork Airport is approx. 170 kilometers away from Valentia Island and offers connections to various locations in Europe. The same applies to Shannon Airport, approx. 200 kilometers away. |
From the respective airports, you can continue to Valentia Island with a rental car.
There are some car hire websites where you can book directly, as well as comparison portals for car rentals. Please remember that there is left-hand traffic in Ireland. Transfer from the airport to the holiday home with a minibus is also possible, but you have to keep in mind that there is no or only very limited public transport available, without a vehicle you are very limited here. |
